About Little Detectives: Big Feelings
Why We Created Little Detectives
Little Detectives: Big Feelings was created to support young children as they learn to understand and express big emotions. In early childhood, feelings are often experienced before children have the words to explain them. Without support, this can show up as frustration, shutdowns, or challenging behaviors.
Our goal is to help children feel seen, supported, and confident as they begin to make sense of their emotional world.
Our Approach
We believe emotional learning should be gentle, engaging, and rooted in connection. Children learn best when they feel safe, understood, and supported.
Our work uses play, movement, stories, visuals, and guided activities to help children notice emotions in their bodies, build emotional language, and practice expressing feelings in developmentally appropriate ways.
Who We Are
Little Detectives: Big Feelings is led by professionals with experience supporting young children’s emotional and social development. Our work is grounded in evidence-based, developmentally appropriate practices and informed by real-world experience working with children and families.
We are committed to creating supportive environments where children can explore emotions at their own pace.
Our Commitment to Emotional Safety
We prioritize emotional safety, respect, and inclusion in every interaction. Children are never pressured to share before they are ready, and all feelings are treated as valid and important.
Our approach centers trust, consistency, and compassion to help children feel secure as they learn.
